Free Enneagram Personality Test

An Enneagram personality test is a self-report questionnaire that compares how strongly you relate to nine personality patterns, called types, to suggest which may fit you best. This free version scores all nine types and shows adjacent wing candidates for self-reflection, not diagnosis.

36 statements, about 5 minutes. Answers never leave your browser.

How much does each statement sound like you?

Answer for how you usually are, not how you wish to be. There are no right answers.

Statement 1: I notice mistakes or sloppy details that other people seem to miss.
Statement 2: I like to understand how something works before I get involved.
Statement 3: I work hard to keep the peace and avoid unnecessary conflict.
Statement 4: I want my life and work to feel personally meaningful and authentic.
Statement 5: I speak up directly when something seems unfair.
Statement 6: I set clear goals and feel energized by visible progress.

How the scoring works

  • Each type has four statements. Answers count 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), so each type scores 4-20 points, shown as 0-100%.
  • The highest-scoring type is shown as your top result. If two or more types share the top score, all of them are listed and none is chosen for you.
  • A lead of 2 points or fewer is flagged as a close call.
  • Wing candidates come only from the two types beside your top type on the circle (Type 9 and Type 1 are neighbors).
  • All statements are worded positively, so people who tend to agree with everything may see higher scores across the board. Compare the shape of your scores, not just the top number.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Enneagram test accurate?

It is a short self-report questionnaire, so treat results as a starting point. Research on Enneagram measures is limited and mixed, and this quiz has not been independently validated. Read the descriptions of your top few types and notice which one explains your motivations best.

How are Enneagram wings calculated here?

A wing can only be one of the two types beside your type on the Enneagram circle, such as 9 or 2 for Type 1. The quiz shows both adjacent scores and suggests a leaning only when one is higher. Many people relate to both wings.

What happens if two types tie for my top score?

The quiz does not pick one for you. It lists every tied type with its own wing candidates, strengths, and growth prompts so you can compare them and reflect on which fits.

Is the Enneagram a clinical or diagnostic test?

No. The Enneagram is a framework for self-reflection, not a mental health assessment. It cannot diagnose anything, and it should not be used for hiring or other high-stakes decisions.

Are my answers saved or sent anywhere?

No. Answers, scoring, and exports stay in your browser. There is no account, no email, and no server submission. Closing or refreshing the page clears your answers.
