The rules for creating a FamilyGPT parent account and using the service with your family.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FamilyGPT. They apply to the parent account holder and, through that account, to the child profiles a parent creates. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.
By creating a FamilyGPT account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.
FamilyGPT parent accounts are for adults, parents or legal guardians who are creating and managing access for their own family. Children do not create their own accounts; a parent adds each child profile and issues that child a login code.
The parent who creates a family account is responsible for supervising their children's use of FamilyGPT, configuring content filters and usage limits, and reviewing flagged conversations.
By adding a child profile, the parent represents that they are the parent or legal guardian of that child, or are otherwise authorized to consent on the child's behalf, and consent to FamilyGPT processing the child's information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Parents are responsible for keeping their account password and their children's login codes confidential, and for all activity that occurs under their family account.
FamilyGPT uses third-party AI models, described in the Privacy Policy, to generate chat responses. Responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular child. They are not professional, medical, legal, or safety advice.
FamilyGPT applies automated content moderation to messages and, where enabled, to uploaded images and files. Moderation is automated, depends on third-party provider availability, and can miss content. Flagged AI responses are reviewed after they are generated, not before delivery. Moderation reduces, but does not eliminate, the chance a child encounters unsuitable content.
FamilyGPT does not guarantee that the service is free of errors, inappropriate content, or interruptions. Parents remain responsible for deciding whether and how their family uses the service and for reviewing their children's activity.
FamilyGPT offers a free plan and paid subscription plans with additional features and higher usage limits, as described on the pricing page.
Paid web subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Paid subscriptions purchased through a mobile app store are billed and managed by that platform (Apple or Google) under its own terms.
You can cancel a web subscription from your account settings or by contacting support; cancelling stops future billing but does not automatically refund past charges. Subscriptions purchased through an app store must be cancelled with that store, since deleting your FamilyGPT account does not cancel an app-store subscription.
We may change plan features, limits, or pricing going forward. Material changes to a plan you are subscribed to will be described on the pricing page.
You may not use FamilyGPT to violate any law, to attempt to bypass content moderation or usage limits, to interfere with the service's operation or security, to access another family's account or data, or to submit content you do not have the right to share.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that attempt to abuse or circumvent moderation and rate limits, or that pose a risk to the safety of children using the service.
You and your children retain ownership of the messages, images, and files you submit to FamilyGPT. You grant FamilyGPT a license to store, process, and transmit that content as needed to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the content your family submits and for ensuring you have the right to share any files or images you upload.
You can delete your account at any time from account settings. Account deletion removes the account-linked family, children's profiles, conversations, and memories from the application database, as described in the Privacy Policy. Separately stored diagnostic logs and uploaded files are not removed automatically.
We may suspend or terminate a family account for violating these terms, for fraudulent or abusive use, or where doing so is necessary to protect the safety of children on the platform.
FamilyGPT is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no legal-compliance or certification guarantee about the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamilyGPT and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including from AI-generated content or from content that moderation did not catch.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of FamilyGPT after a change means you accept the updated terms.
